Tubicinatores Gedanenses
Recreating the sounds of a 17th- and 18th-century city is no easy task. What we do know is that in Gdańsk at the time, the soundscape of the city was shaped significantly by the tones of trumpets and bells. These resonant signals served a functional role — helping to regulate daily life — while also offering a welcome break from routine. The music featured in this recording draws from both courtly and ecclesiastical repertoire.
